Banda Adventure

This tour is known to include one of the best dive spots between the Moluccas and Raja Ampat. Muck diving in Ambon, diving among the history-rich Banda islands, as well as the coral reefs and micro organisms in Misool make this extensive tour a real adventure.

Ambon has the reputation to be one of the most fascinating muck diving destinations; it additionally offers beautiful reef diving. On dive sites such as Air Manis and Laha one can always find a large number of exceptional and rare ocean creatures. In Paila Tiga there are beautiful reefs and plenty of fish life. The ensuing destination to be visited on this tour is among the Nusa Laut islands. Here one can find an abundance of various types of fish, strong currents and fascinating under water habitats. Even for spoilt divers, this is a rare treat. Over many hundred years, the Banda islands were a place of bitter fighting associated with the rights and privileges of the at that time highly lucrative nutmeg trade. Nowadays only few people remember the bloody wars of past times. The real richness and beauty of these islands is now the magnificent marine life. One of the best Mandarin fish dives within the Banda Islands is a Lava stream with fast growing corals and fascinating under water landscapes with an abundance of fish life to be seen. After an extensive ocean crossing the Amira will reach one of the best dive sites of Raja Ampat. Around the island of Misool guests can expect to see a wealth of different fish life, beautiful reefs, extensive macro organisms, sharks and wobegongs, as well as dives in strong currents. Dive sites such as Fiabacet and the Gorgonian passage make every diver’s heart beat a little faster. Having the highest biodiversity overall this exceptional dive site has garnered worldwide fame and accolades. Naturally we also offer the possibility to do a short excursion on land to take in the historic forts build under Dutch occupation during the time of the nutmeg trade.

Cenderawasih Bay

East Indonesia Adventure

West-Papua is without a doubt Indonesia´s best diving area and one of the best dive destinations worldwide.

This cruise takes you from Sorong to the famous dive sites at Cape Kri and Manta Point close to Monsoar. The second part of the tour takes you the coral and macro paradise around the island of Misool. Dive sites like the Gorgonian Passage, Fiabacet and many other are a guarantee for colourful and memorable dives. Additional highlights of this trip are the historically rich Banda islands. Originally the birth place of the lucrative nutmeg trade, the islands endured vicious fighting in the past. Today only few remember the bloody wars of the past and the real richness and beauty of these islands is now known to be the life in the ocean. Guests can expect to experience a diverse and extraordinary under water landscape among the Banda islands. Dive spots like Batu Kapal will impress even the well travelled divers. Unique to this trip is also a dive in the lava stream that erupted in 1988 and is now one of the fasted growing places for table corals. For those who admire the small critters in the ocean, there are many exciting opportunities among the Banda islands. Diving among the snake island Gunung Api will leave a lasting memory. This small volcanic island is surrounded by steep, rocky cliffs reaching over 4000m in depth. Even though there is less diversity of marine life available compared to Raja Ampat, it none the less presents a unique diving environment. Nowhere else can so many and diverse types of sea snakes, native to this region, be seen. Gunung Api is also the nesting place of large colonies of ocean birds. During calm seas it is possible to explore the island on foot. After diving in Alor we will arrive Maumere

Forgotten Islands

The Forgotten Islands are a remote chain of islands spanning over 1'000km embedded in a magnificent landscape far from any hustle and bustle of metropolitan areas. They extend from Timor to West Papua and were discovered by the Portuguese. Ever since its’ main trade has been in spices. These volcanic islands offer some of the best and still largely unexplored dive sites in the Indonesian waters. Clear, Deep blue waters, endless reefs, spectacular walls of and colourful coral are clearly a diver's dream

Jewels of Indonesia

Under favourable weather conditions this tour in the Banda Sea may span all the way to Manuk. These volcanic spice islands are embedded in a diverse tropical landscape that were shaped by geological formations and are located about 60 km south of Banda. Underwater you will encounter a remarkable number of fire corals and sponges that are several meters high. On the east side of Manuk there are steep ravines and beautiful gorgonian forests. Around the legendary "Tanjung Ular" the cape of snakes, many different snake species can be discovered accompanied by large schools of barracudas, turtles and sharks. The crowning of the tour is without a doubt the coral and macro paradise of the island of Misool. Dive sites like Gorgonian Passage, Fiabacet and many others are guarantors of colourful, memorable dives.

Komodo

Komodo is surely Indonesia's most famous National Park. Besides a visit to the famous Komodo dragons during a land excursion there are also numerous magnificent dive sites to be found in this area. Amira's dive trips to the Komodo National Park and surrounding Islands embark either in Bali, Labuan Bajo or Maumere. This way, we are able to offer a variation of dive itineraries for this unique dive region. After the first night-crossing the island of Satonda is reached where the first dives also take place. During the second night the Amira arrives at the volcanic island of Sangeang. Here, amongst other things, the diving site Black Forest with its wealth of black coral, hot water springs and gas bubbles rising through the sand guarantee enthusiasm. Following the dives in Sangeang, the island of Komodo is reached after a short crossing. Famous fish-rich sites like Castle Rock and Manta Valley make the divers´ heart beat faster. As here, strong currents lead to spectacular dives with abundant fish life, so that schooling fish, sharks or manta rays can almost be guaranteed. The island of Rinca with its Horseshoe Bay is located south of Komodo. Magnificently covered drop-offs and exceptional macro dives make Rinca another highlight of the tour. Cannibal Rock and Larry´s Yellow Wall of Texas are also a delight for discerning divers.

Malaku Sea Adventure

West-Papua is without a doubt the best diving region in Indonesia and one of the best diving destinations in the world. The Moluccas still offer many previously unvisited dive sites. The tours run from Sorong to the underwater highlights of Misool. The blue water mangroves in west Misool will also be visited. Following begins the explorative nature of the tour: Critter-dives on black volcanic sand along the north coast of the island Seram, dives around the island of Obi in the Moluccas and the islands and west atolls of Halmahera will be visited. The tour ends in Halmahera.

Misool & Triton Bay

Misool, with an area of about 2000 km ², is one of the largest and less developed islands in the southern region of Raja Ampat. From the island of Misool our guests can expect a colourful mix of beautiful reefs, macro life, lots of fish, sharks and Wobegongs. This region is also known for strong currents. Dive sites like Fiabacet and Gorgonian Passage let each diver's heart beat faster. Exhibiting an extraordinary degree of biodiversity this wonderful dive site has already gained worldwide recognition.

The Triton Bay, on the south-eastern end of the bird's head of New Guinea, is considered an absolute world-class dive site with its own unique fascination. This sparsely visited dive site offers a wonderful diversity of rare soft coral gardens, vast forests of black corals and craggy rocks that make for a fantastic scenery both above and under water.

Raja Ampat

West-Papua is without a doubt Indonesia's best diving area and one of the best dive destinations worldwide.
